The
August 13, 2009 letter states that at least one of the LISTS fits the description of a UST referenced
in a permit purportedly issued to Standard Oil Company in 1918. Stantec and CEMC are currently
investigating whether these LISTS were ever owned or operated by Standard Oil Company. We
anticipate the investigation will be complete by October 30, 2009. CEMC looks forward to meeting
with the CRWQCB to discuss its findings and to discuss the appropriate path forward.
Thank you for your assistance with this project. Please call Stantec at(916) 861-0400, if you have
any questions, and to set up a meeting to discuss our findings.
Sincerely,
Stantec Consulting Corporation
Dan Schreiner, P.G.
Senior Geologist
cc: Mr. Rick Rittenberg, Chevron
Mr. Eric Hetrick, ConocoPhillips
Mr. Paul Hamada, Esq., ConocoPhillips
Mr. Sean Sherlock, Snell & Wilmer
Mr. Robert Goodman, Rogers Joseph O'Donnell
Ms. Eva Langston-Kenney, Stockton Dept. of Housing & Redevelopment
Mr. Jeffrey Wong, San Joaquin County Public Health Services
19tidewateAtw stookton(parcel 2a-0415i\standard oil ostswockton cemc_response letler_092809.doc
L
