Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Dear Ms. Resch: <br /> This letter is in response to our conversation on October 18, <br /> 1991. PG&E requests permission to proceed with the new <br /> excavation at the Stockton Service Center as follows: <br /> 1) Work will begin at the furthest point from the existing <br /> excavation. <br /> 2) The excavation for the new storage tanks shall be <br /> sufficiently large to permit proper backfilling on all sides <br /> of the tanks. <br /> 3) All soil will be visually monitored upon removal to <br /> determine if any petroleum hydrocarbon residue is present. <br /> 4) If required by the County, a PID meter can be made available. <br /> 5) If any petroleum hydrocarbons are encountered, work in the <br /> excavation will be stopped and soil samples taken. <br /> If you have any questions or concerns about the proposed <br /> excavation, please call me at (209) 263-5214 . <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Michael J.
