• PILE CC3.1 Construction (Medium Fora) General Conditions 5-1-33 BCS General Conditions (`!F) (RxRelder - Insurance) 7 ADOtTIONAL WORK OR CRA.HCES 7.1 CONTRACT CHANCE ORDERS. Additional work or changes shall he performed by Contractor only when authorlred In writing and signed by Constructor. 7.2 COMPENSATION: Compensation to Contractor for any increase In the amount of work due to addition., or changes shall, at Constructors option, be based on contract unit prices or agreed prices or on a cost-plus basis. If work is performed on a cost-plus basis, compensation will be an amount equal to the total of Items 7.2.1 through 7.2.1 Wages and salarLes, including payroll taxes, vacation, holiday, sick leave allowance, and other fringe benefits of Contractor's employees, and his job foremen, engaged in performing the work. (wages or expenses of any superintendent, representative in charge, or field office personnel are excluded.) 7.2.2 katerials and supplies actually consumed In the work. Including sales or use taxes thereon, and the transportation thereof, at actual cost, less trade and cash discounts and less the fair value of materials and supplies salvaged and retained by Contractor. 7.2.3 Pro rata amounts of premium for (1) worker's Compensation Insurance, and (2) Bodily Injury and Property Damage Insurance up to limits of $3.000,000 for one occurrence. Premiums for other insurance shail nor be separately reimbursable. 7.2.4 Incidental direct costs to Contractor arising directly from performance of the work, provided they are approved In writing by Constructor. 7.2.5 A fee equal to the percentage stated In Contractor's proposal of the total of Paragraphs 7.21.1 through 7,2.4 including profit, superintendence, field office personnel. overhead, rental charges for use Of tools and equipment valued at less than $1.500 each, and other general and indirect expense. 7.2.6 Rental charges for use of Contractor's equipetient valued at 51,500 or rare each, at the rates submitted by Contractor in his proposal. Rates shall include fuel, maintenance, operating labor and other costs, unless other•.rLse specified. For rates not included In the rates submitted in Contractor's proposal. reimbursement shall be at rates not in excess of 75X of the rates set forth In the current editLon of the "Compilation of Rental Rates for Construction Equipment" published by the Associated Equipment DL5tr:5utors. plus operating costs. 7.2,7 Cost of trareoortatLon to the work site and from the work site to an agreed deb-tlndtion, lnc.udil,t Loading and unloading. of equipment not self-propelled or readily movable, to the extent that payments her„ not been reimbursed directly or indirectly under other Items of the contract. 7.2.9 For approved additional work performed by a subcontractor. including subcontracts foe rental of equipment valued at $1,500 or more each.
