FILE GC3.1 Construction (`tedium Fora) General Conditions 5-3-83 BCS General Conditions (`i F) <br /> (RMltelder - Insurance) CC__6 <br /> 9 INSLBANCE <br /> 9.1 WOUIRS' COMP HSATION: Contractor and his subcontractors shall furnish PG&E a certificate of tlorkers' <br /> Compensation or self-insurance In compliance with applicable federal and state labor codes, acts, lana. or <br /> statutes including Employer's Liability insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000 for injury or death of any one <br /> person. <br /> 9.2 CCMPREHF-4SIVE GENERAL AND COHPREHE_YSIVE AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY: <br /> - 9.2.1 Automobile: Contractor shall maintain and be responsible for subcontractors maintaining owned, <br /> none+rned, and hired automabile bodily injury and property damage Liability insurance of not less than <br /> $3.000.000 combined single limit of liabLlity for bodily injury and property damage as a reuslt of any ane <br /> occurrence, including (1) PG&E as a named additional insured for the work performed under this Contract and <br /> (2) a severability of interest clause. <br /> 9.2.2 General Liability: Contractor shall maintain and be responsible for subcontractors maintaining <br /> General Liability insurance for bodily injury, property damage and personal injury including coverage for <br /> Premises-Operations. Owners and Contractors Protective. Products/Completed Operations Hazard, x.C.L'. <br /> Contractual Liability, Broad Fora Property Damage including Completed Operations, also (1) PC&E as it named <br /> additional Insured insofar as work performed under this Contract and (2) a severability of interest clause. <br /> Insurance shall not be less than $3.000,000 combined single limit of llabLllty as a result of any one <br /> occurrente- <br /> 9.3 ADDITICHAL I:iSZ,71ANCE PROVISIOMS: <br /> 9.3.1 Prior to commencing work, Contractor and each Subcontractor shall furnish PG&E certificates of <br /> insurance and endorsements required for the Insurance specified in paragraphs 9.2.L and 9.2.2 and PG&E has <br /> the right to inspect or obtain a copy of the original insurance policy(les). <br /> 9.1.2 Certificates of insurance furnished by Contractor or Subcontractor shall state that coverage Is <br /> primary and not excess or contributing with other insurance or self—insurance maintained by PC&E. <br /> 9.3.3 Certificates of insurance furnished by Contractor or Subcontractor shall provide 30—days written <br /> notice to PG&E prior to cancellation. termination. alterarion, or materlal change of the Insurance. <br /> 9.3.4 PC&E shall not by reason of Its inclusion under Contractor's or Subcontractor's policy as a named <br /> additional insured incur Liability to the Insurance carrier for payment of premium for the insurance, <br /> 9.3,5 Insurance certificates, endorsements, cancellations, terminations, alterations, or material change of <br /> the Insurance shall be mailed to: <br /> PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC Cf}M?Ju'1Y <br /> Attention: 'tanager of Insurance <br /> 77 Beale Street, Room E-280 <br /> San Francisco, CA 94106 <br /> 9.4 PC&E'S ELECTION TO PUCE 114SURANCE: PC&E his the right, If it so elects, to purchase for Contractor <br /> insurance securing payment of the liability specified in paragraph 9,1, or the Insurance specified in paragraph <br /> 9.2.2, or bath. PG&E will pay for the insurance, and the contract price will be <br /> reduced by deductloaa of the following sums from the final payment. and also from progress payments. <br /> 9.6.2.1 Workers' Compensation Insurance: Workers' compensation Insurance specified in paragraph 9.1. <br /> the sum of the products obtained by multiplying the actual payroll or payrolls of Contractor and the <br /> actual payroll or payrolls of those subcontractors whose Losurance is arranged under PC&E election. by <br />
