0 <br />2.0 Personnel! <br />2.1 Project Manager <br />-Manages field operations. <br />-Prepares and organizes the site background review, the <br />Work Plan, and the field crew. <br />-Ensures the Work Plan is completed and on schedule. <br />-Briefs the field teams on their specific assignments. <br />-Participates in the preparation of the Site Safety <br />Plan. <br />-Periodically inspects site protective clothing and <br />equipment. <br />-Conducts periodic inspections to determine if the Site <br />Safety Plan is being followed. <br />-Serves as a liaison with public officials. <br />-Documents field activities and sample collection. <br />2.2 Site Safety Officer <br />-Executes the Work Plan and schedule. <br />-Implements and enforces the SGP. <br />-Assures that all on-site personnel have received a copy <br />of the SSP, have read it and understand it. <br />-Conducts frequent inspections of site conditioos, <br />facilities, equipment, and activities to deteVminP if <br />the SSP is adequate and being followed. <br />-Conducts daily "tailgate" mxoQtings to explain the plan <br />of work for the day, mention potential hazards of the <br />site. <br />-Ensures that protective clothing and equipment are <br />properly stored and maintained. <br />-Knows emergency procedures, excavation routes, a/xJ <br />notifies local emergency services when necessary. <br />-Notifies the Health and Safety Manager of all accidents <br />and injuries that ocoor on site. <br />2.3 On -Site PersonneI� <br />-Construction personnr] to work in a safe and organ"d <br />manner^ <br />-Are required to documont their full understanding of <br />the SSP before starting work by signing that they have <br />read the SSP and understand it. <br />-Safely completes the on-site tasks required to fo]fill <br />the Work Plan. <br />-Complies with the SSP- <br />-Notifies the SSO of unsafe conditions. <br />-On-site employees are held responsible to perform only <br />those tasks for which they believe they are qualified <br />and in their opinion are safe. <br />
