Lou Richardson <br /> Mountain View, CA 94043 <br /> ( 415 ) 967-1000 <br /> EG 1085 <br /> one soil sample form each boring hole will be obtained by a <br /> modified California Drive Sampler lined with brass tube liners . <br /> The sample will be collect approximately 2 feet below the invert <br />` of the tank. Once the sample is collected, each end of the <br /> cylinder will be covered with aluminum foil and then capped with <br /> a polyethylene lid, taped, and labeled. The sample will then <br /> be placed on ice for transport to the state certified laboratory. <br /> Formal chain-of-custody records will be maintained for each sample <br /> The laboratory ( IT Analytical Services ) will analyze each soil <br /> sample for TPH (gasoline) and BTX&E. The method of analysis <br /> is taken from EPA Methods 8015, 8020 and 5030 . The samples will <br /> be examined using the purge and trap technique. Final detection <br /> will be by gas chromatography using a Flame Ionization detector <br /> as well as a Photo ionization detector. <br />
