Jiffy Lube Hazard Communication Program Page <br /> 1 . The Center Manager is responsible for the Hazard Communication Program, <br /> 2. The Inventory of Hazardous Materials is contained in the Center's Business <br /> Emergency Response Plan (BERP). <br /> 3. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) for all hazardous substances are contained <br /> in Appendix A of the BERP. <br /> 4. Employees may review MSDSs by requesting the same to the Center Manager. <br /> 5. The MSDS file (contained in the BERP) is updated with new information and new <br /> hazards identified by the Center Manager. <br /> 6. Containers of hazardous materials received at the Center will be checked by the <br /> Center Manager, Assistant Manager or an employee delegated by one of the <br /> managers to assure that they are properly labeled with the chemical name of the <br /> contents,the appropriate hazard warning and the name and address of the supplier <br /> or manufacturer. <br /> 7. All containers and tanks containing hazardous materials will be labeled with the <br /> chemical name and hazard warning. Exceptions must be approved by the Center <br /> Manager. <br /> S. Non-routine tasks involving hazardous materials include the remediation of a <br /> hazardous material spill. Instructions for handling such a spill, including the use of <br /> 0 <br /> personal protective equipment is contained in the BERP. <br /> U 4 <br /> Quo 9. How to interpret and use the labels on containers of hazardous materials. <br /> d. The potential physical hazards and health effects of the hazardous substance- <br /> sand how to use MSDSs for more information. <br />
