Box 2009 <br /> 1601 East Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Attention: Charles Hunt <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> On September 14, 1989 Cottle Engineering would like to <br /> remove two (2) underground fuel storage tanks from the East <br /> Bay Municipal Utility District facility located at West Main <br /> Street in Stockton. <br /> Prior to removing the tanks and piping will be rinsed <br /> with non-sudsing bio-degradable detergent and vacuumed dry. <br /> This rinsate will be manifested and disposed of as contaminated <br /> waste. After the tanks are vacuumed approximately 100 lbs. <br /> will be added to each tank to suppress organic vapors. <br /> The tanks will then be lifted on to a licensed flatbed <br /> truck for transporting to the disposal facility. Soil samples <br /> will be extracted from the excavation with the backhoe bucket <br /> and a technician from West Labs will extract the samples in <br /> brass tubes from the bucket.
