However, if, at some later date, it is determined that <br /> there has been a release from these tanks, an investigation to <br /> determine the full extent of the contamination may be warranted. <br /> In addition, hand augered soil borings, such as those installed <br /> by Certified Environmental Corporation on October 11, 1993 at <br /> your facility, are a permitted activity in San Joaquin County. <br /> In this case, the contractor failed to obtain the necessary <br /> permit from PHS/EHD for your investigation. <br /> PHS/EHD requires a workplan to be submitted along with a permit <br /> application for review for this type of work.
