MAINTENANCE OF MONITORING EQUIPMENT <br /> At the tiroe of the annual tank testing, all leak detection <br /> devices will be checked for proper operation. <br /> If no annual tank testing is to be performed, then the monitoring <br /> system will be checked annually by a trained person employed or• <br /> hired by the Customer Company. <br /> LEAK RESPONSE PLAN <br /> In the case a leak is suspected per the inventory records or one <br /> of the monitors indicates a leak, the following procedures will <br /> be performed within 24 hours: <br /> 1. Check inventory records at site and at the main office <br /> 2. Visual check all dispensers for leaks <br /> 3. Visual check all turbine pit areas for gasoline <br /> 4. Stick and check tank secondary containment cavities for <br /> gasoline or water <br /> 5. Check calibration of all dispenser meters <br /> If fuel is found in the secondary containment of the turbine pit <br /> areas or the secondary tank, the Customer Company will hire a <br /> contractor to determine where the fuel is coming from and repair. <br /> If a precision tank test is deemed necessary to determine if a <br /> leak is existing, then the Customer Company will perform this <br /> test with its own personnel or will hire a contractor to perform <br /> this test. The contractors at its disposal are: <br /> Sacramento Equipment Maint. 916-925-2716 <br /> Paradiso Construction 415-562-5511 <br /> Hecker Industries 707-255-9597 <br /> If a leak is found that has released gasoline into the ground, or <br /> gasoline is found in the secondary containment areas of the <br /> station, the Customer Company will report, within 24 hours, to <br /> the local agency responsible for the particular site. If cleanup <br /> is necessary, the Customer Company will employ an engineering <br /> firm to determine extent of contamination. The Customer Company <br /> has several firms at its disposal : <br /> Kleinfelder^ and Assoc. 916-366-1701 <br /> Harding-Lawson and Assoc. 415-883-5566 <br /> Dames and Moore 209-445-0156 <br /> Kaprealian Engineering 707-746-6915 <br /> The Customer Company will employ the engineering firm to do site <br /> evaluation, cleanup proposal, and contact all necessary parties <br /> to cleanup site. <br /> 4 <br />
