No. CGT-TRACY-UST-01-2003 <br /> Tracy, CA 95376 <br /> 10. +[1 the bottom of the tank or associated piping is below the groundwater table, then soil samples are not <br /> required. In this case, a water sample shall be collected as soon as possible from the surface of the <br /> rpoundwater in the excavation. A check shall initially be made for any free-floating product. If no <br /> r ating product is detected, then a water sample shall be taken with a device designed to reduce the <br /> s of volatile components. A bailer is a suitable sampling device. The water sample shall be <br /> ediately poured into a volatile organic analysis (VOA) vial with as little agitation as possible. A <br /> fIon septum shall be used to seal the vial. <br /> 11 -il and water samples shall be analyzed for total hydrocarbons by the methods outlined in California <br /> ter Quality Control Board's "Guidelines for Addressing Fuel Leaks," Attachment 2, Analytical Methods, <br /> printed April 1985; as well as SWRCB Underground Storage Tank Regulations: Section 2649 (Sampling <br /> quirements)and Section 2670 (UST Closure Requirements). <br /> 12. Samples will immediately be transported in an ice pack name of state certified testing laboratory, <br /> street address, city, California, (telephone no.) Samples will be tested for Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons (TPH)Analysis, BTEX, Oxygenates(MTBE), and Lead. <br /> D. Testing Methods: <br /> 1. Water: Use EPA Method 8260B and 8015M. Methanol extraction should be used in those cases where <br /> It <br /> sample is representative of an aged fuel, or it is desired that the heavier ends of gasoline are to be <br /> �racted. <br /> (F <br /> 11: Use EPA Method 82608 and 8015M. Methanol extraction should be used in those cases where the <br /> `5 ' ple is representative of an aged fuel, or it is desired that the heavier ends of gasoline are to be <br /> ettracted.
