Shields, Heather
From: Abacan, Rex
Sent: Wednesday, June 24, 2009 5:42 PM
To: Tovar, Rodolfo; Alduleme, Hakki; Quinn, Kevin:; Lormand, Randy; Gee, Marvin; Hunt, Sidney:;
Rowe, Brett:; Dao, James; Barroso-Traylor, Evangeline:; Crafts, Rob; Fuller, Lori; Robinson,
Belinda; Steed, Greg; Carver, Ed; Campos, Luis:
Cc: Seki, Scott;Telson, Steve; Tourek, Tim; Convert, Christina; Carver, Ed; Lindquist, Joel;
Shields, Heather
Subject: Monthly Designated Operator(DO) Inspection "Refresher/Training"
MM's,
The monthly Designated Operator(DO)report is not only a requirement by the State of California but also a great back up
for anything missed by the store manager during their daily inspections. Unfortunately, I have seen a trend where several
Notices of Violations(NOV's)and/or Notices to Comply(NOC's) have been issued due to the lack of attention given to
these forms. Violations such as missing paperwork or drums with accumulation dates of more than 90 days should never
occur. The only reasons I suspect as to why this occurs is that the MM's have not had the proper training and do not know
how to properly fill out the forms or feel this is a useless requirement and would rather not spend the necessary time to
conduct the inspections correctly.
As a result, I have contracted with Tanknology to conduct a two to three hour on-site refresher program with each MM.
Below are the dates, times, and site numbers. Given that I have contacted each of you individually, the below schedule
should work as I have accommodated your requests.
Please understand that this needs to be done as it is part of your overall performance. I have been instructed to notify Tim
immediately if an avoidable NOWNOC is issued due to DO Inspection negligence.
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
Tuesday, July 14
Site# 1270 - Bakersfield
loam
Randy Lormand
Marvin Gee
Wednesday, July 15th
Site# 5733 - Roseville
8am
Hakki Aldumele
Rudy Tovar
Thursday, July 16th
Site# 8734 -Fresno
loam
Kevin Quinn
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Monday,July 13th
Site#5245 - Pedley
loam
Eva Barroso
James Dao
Rob Crafts
Tuesday, July 14th
t
