All safety precautions will be taken (cones, tape, proper grounding, etc.). Site will be closed if it <br />is deemed not safe by the Site Foreman. <br />2. 48-hour advanced notification will be made to local regulatory personnel. <br />3. E4>uipmenl Used; <br />a. Dial gauges: 4" diameter and accuracy of .5 of dial span, glycerin filled and range of 0 <br />to max 15 PSI and/or 4" diameter dial gauge. <br />b. Digital gauges: Will read pressure to 0.01 PSI and accuracy of 25040 of scale. <br />c. Incon TS -STS <br />d. Vacuum dial gauges can have a 0-30 scale. <br />c. Gauges to he calibrated every 6 months. <br />Procedures for SB989 Testing <br />• Job walk and visual inspection before job. <br />• Washout all containment areas to be tested. <br />• Test I (Annular Space Test): <br />1. No change in vacuum (annular) or pressure (piping) is allowed for a passed test. <br />2. Test annular space using F.stabrook's vacuum pump. <br />3. Connect necessary component (consisting of piped "T" w/ hook up of 0-15 PSI gauge <br />glycerin filled or manometer). <br />4. Apply vacuum to annular until 10" of mercury is reached. <br />5. IA-Islabiliie for 30 minutes. <br />6. Start test. <br />7. Test for 60 minutes. <br />S. Test will be deemed "pass" or "fail" <br />• Piping (secondary): <br />I. Check all band clamps for tightness (in boots. <br />2. Introduce nitrogen into piping until 5 PSI is reached. <br />3. Let stabilize for 10 minutes. <br />4. Start test. <br />5. Test for 60 minutes using either 0-30 glycerin filled gauges or manometer. <br />5. Test will be deemed "pass" or "fail" <br />
