Results of Evaluation Using <br /> "European Standard prEN 13160-2, "Leak Detection <br /> Systems — Part 2: Pressure and vacuum system" <br /> May 2003 <br /> This form tells whether the vacuum interstitial testing method described below complies with the <br /> performance requirements of the US federal underground storage tank regulations. The <br /> evaluation was conducted by an independent testing organization for the manufacturer according <br /> to the procedures described in "European Standard prEN 13160-2, "Leak Detection Systems— <br /> Part 2: Pressure and vacuum system", May 2003. This protocol was adopted by the National <br /> Work Group on Leak Detection Evaluations and may be used for the evaluation of vacuum based <br /> systems that monitor the interstice of either double-wall tanks or pipelines. <br /> Tank owners using this leak detection system should keep this form on file to prove compliance with the <br /> federal regulations. It does not function <br /> as a conventional leak detector, but rather as a system to prevent the loss of product to the <br /> environment in as fail safe manner as possible. The protocol specifies that the interstitial space <br /> for a tank must be less than or equal to 8 cubic meters (2114 gal). The interstitial space for a line <br /> must be less than or equal to 20 cubic meters (2642 gal).
