2S 2095 320 410 8,23,02 21 : 19 P.05
Remarks: (Secondary test; page 2) The gasoline tank secondary test was
started at15.2" vacuum. After 20 minutes, the reading was slightly below
the 15" mark on the gauge. The test was allowed to continue to a full 60
minutes. The final vacuum reading was 12.2". The Diesel tank annular
space was tested at 15.0 " vacuum. After 30 minutes the reading was
12", indicating a leak somewhere in each system. Another access to the
annular space exists on both tanks. They are 2" risers on the far ends of
the tanks and they are capped with threaded fillcaps with cork gaskets
that were common during the time of the installation. These could be
leaking, allowing the loss of vacuum that we saw today. A retest should
be performed with these risers capped with 2" pipe caps to ensure a good
seal.
The big concerns of the day are the electrical tape holding the sensor
above the liquid gasoline in the secondary (annular) space, the liquid
itself, and the failure of the Campo-Miller Line Leak Detectors to properly
monitor the product lines.
Test Technician: 79" _ - Mike Dotten, License 90-1068
