No. TBD / Our Job No. 16700
Dear Mr. Backus:
We have revised the plans and technical documents for the above-referenced project in accordance with
your comment letter dated March 2, 2017 regarding our amended application to install an underground
tank storage system. Enclosed are the following documents for your review and approval:
1. One (1) copy installing technician's certifications for Hosemaster stainless steel flex pipe
manufacturer training
2. PDFs of Revised Plan Sheets G.0.2.0, G.0.6.2, M.5.3.22 and M.5.3.23
The following outline provides each of your comments in italics exactly as written, along with a narrative
response describing how each comment was addressed:
1. The installing technician's certifications. At least one person shall have ICC and
Manufacturer certifications on site during installation. Certification needed: Hosemaster
stainless steel flex pipe manufacturer training certification.
Response: Please see certification for Latham Zubillaga of Town and Country Contractors
included with this submittal.
2. Explain how communication can be demonstrated throughout the hydrostatic monitored
interstitial spaces of the vent line transition sump and under dispenser containment (UDC)
sumps.
Hydrostatic liquid communication must be demonstrated at the far ends of all interstitial
spaces. Each double-walled hydrostatic sump must be tested throughout the sump. Include
a drawing of a// test ports used to test communication. Typically, a minimum of two test ports
in each hydrostatically monitored sump, UDC and vent sump is necessary to verify
communication of the interstitial fluid throughout the sump.
The plans show the fill and turbine sump interstitial fluid communication (2nd) ports.
The vent and under dispenser containment sump drawings (G.0.6.2, M.5.3.22, M.5.3.23) do
not show the interstitial fluid communication (2nd) ports.
18215 72ND AVENUE SOUTH KENT, WA 98032 (425) 251-6222 (425) 251-8782 FAX
BRANCH OFFICES • TUMWATER, WA • KLAMATH FALLS, OR • LONG BEACH, CA • ROSEVILLE, CA • SAN DIEGO, CA
www, barghausen. com
