It has been reviewed
by my supervisors but there are some questions that needs to be clarified prior to approval.
1. Sheet M.5.3.01 item 22 states that fill galvanized risers will be used. Typically black iron is best
suited for the use in diesel fuel. I would like to confirm if galvanized will be used in both gasoline
and diesel.
The installation will be made with Schedule 40 Malleable Black Iron pipe risers.
2. Sheet G.0.7.2 Equipment Schedule 9 states Bravo model F-17-SS-D will be used. It conflicts with
Sheet M.5.3.02 item 134 states"CA only for double wall sumps-must use Robroy PVC-Coated
Conduit" Bravo model F-17-RR-D.
The proposed fitting shown on G.0.7.2, F-17-SS-D is only intended for the ground-rod
penetration through the sump, which is consistent with Item No. 135 on the materials sheet
M.5.3.02. Item No. 134 on materials sheet M.5.3.02, F-17-RR-D is only intended for the
electrical conduit penetrations.
3. Would this site be on a septic, city sewer or even have its own on-site waste water treatment
system?
The site will be on a city sewer system.
4. Sheet M.5.3.02 item 202 states sump liquid sensor are position sensitive VR model 794380-208
but the position sensitive model should be VR 794380-323?
The sensors to be installed will be the 794380-208 sensors, please disregard the reference
to "position sensitive".
5. G.0.2.0 Installation notes item 12 states installation of single float tank annular space hydrostatic
sensors. It conflicts with sheet M.5.3.02 item 203 which states dual float.
The sensors to be installed will be the 794380-303 Dual float sensors, please disregard
reference to "single float"
Please send 3 revised copies of each of the sheets that if there are changes to be made. Once I received
the revised sheets, I will quickly approve the UST installation plans.
Thank you,
Thuy Tran, Sr. REHS
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, CA 95202-3029
Phone(209)468-8257
Fax(209)468-3433
12/8/2011
