Stockton Promenade—N Edisofreet USTs& Utility Corridors • Page 1 I
Underground Storage Tank Removal Report June 8,2009
WKA No.7345.09
• TPHd was detected in each of the eight confirmation soil samples analyzed from the
' Tank#1 area ranging from 890 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg)in Tl-Center-6' to 47
mg/kg in T2-Center-8'
• TPHmo was detected in seven of the eight confirmation soil samples analyzed from the
UST area ranging from 51 mg/kg (T1-Center-6') to 10 mg/kg (Tl-East-6')
' • TPHg was detected in seven of the eight confirmation soil samples analyzed from the
UST area ranging from 920 mg/kg(T4-E-8) to 2.5 mg/kg(Tl-West-7')
• The highest VOC concentrations were detected in the two confirmation soil samples
analyzed from Tank#4, with benzene detected at 0.052 mg/kg in T4-W-8
• Methylnaphthalene and naphthalene were detected in one confirmation soil sample from
Tank#1 and two soil samples from Tank#4
' • Detected metal concentrations were consistent with background levels encountered
during previous WKA assessment of the Stockton Promenade and not considered
problematic when the background concentrations are compared to the corresponding
commercial health risk based screening levels
' • The tank content liquid sample had detectable concentrations of TPHd, TPHmo, TPHg,
secondary VOCs, SVOCs, and target metals. The most notable of these results were
TPHd at 1,100,000 micrograms per liter(gg/L), TPHmo at 20,000 gg/L, and TPHg at
' 2,500 gg/L
6.2 UST Stockpile Results
' • TPHd was detected in the three soil samples analyzed from the UST excavation
stockpiles ranging from 52 mg/kg(SP-1,2) to 36 mg/kg (T2-Fill)
' • TPHmo was detected in the three soil samples analyzed from the UST excavation
stockpiles ranging from 92 mg/kg(SP3-1,2) to 150 mg/kg(SP-1,2)
• TPHg was not detected above laboratory reporting units in any of the three soil samples
analyzed from the UST excavation stockpiles
' • There were no detectable concentrations of VOCs or SVOCs in any of the three soil
samples analyzed from the UST excavation stockpiles
• PCB (Aroclor 1254) was detected in one of the UST excavation stockpile samples (SP-
1,2) at a concentration of 0.19 mg/kg
