Nolan to Yang
Response to Violation
Stockton Service Center Underground Storage Tank Record
January 5, 2007
Over several days, PG&E staff noted no additional alarms, and no alarms were
recorded on the Veeder Root. Therefore, it was determined that the original
alarm was likely due to dirt or water condensate on the sensor, or a brief Veeder
Root surge. Additionally, because SSSE was already on-site and because no
actual repair or replacement work occurred, SSSE generated no work order and
requested no permit. We believe this was a correct process.
Per our discussion, this information should eliminate any potential violation based
on the recorded alarm condition and the actions taken by SSSE. We will also
modify our response log for the appropriate date to more clearly describe the
actual action taken by SSSE and PG&E.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide this information. If you have any
questions, or need additional information, please feel free to call me at (209) 942-
1566.
Sincerely,
PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY
9C'Le
Erich Nolan, RG, CHMM
Environmental Field Specialist
Stockton Division
Cc: Ms. Kathleen Jones, PG&E
Mr. Rex Bell, PG&E
Mr. Mike Hayworth, PG&E
Ms. Janet Oliver, PG&E
