Liquid was observed in the Diesel STP Sump on the north side (approximately 1 cup) and the <br /> south side of the sump (approximately 1 1/2 cups). If water could enter into the secondary containment <br /> by precipitation or infiltration, it must be removed and disposed of properly. Immediately remove this <br /> liquid, make a hazardous waste determination per Title 22 hazardous waste regulations, and manage it <br /> accordingly. Ensure that the Diesel STP sump is maintained free of liquid. The technician removed the <br /> liquid in the Diesel STP Sump and placed in a hazardous waste drum. The violation was corrected on <br /> site. <br /> 313. The Diesel direct-bury spill container failed when tested. All spill containers shall have a minimum <br /> capacity of five gallons and be capable of containing a spill or overfill until it is detected or cleaned up. <br /> Immediately discontinue deposition of petroleum into this tank until the component is repaired or <br /> replaced by a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor under permit and inspection of the EHD. <br /> If the spill container can't be replaced immediately, there is a possibility that the UST system may be <br /> red tagged to prevent fuel inputs. The technician replaced the cap and the test passed.
