r RECEIVED
MAY 0 6 2015
Red Thread TM IIA Product Data ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
Applications • Service Station • Fueling Terminals • Ethanol Fuel Blends • UL/ULC Systems that
•Vent/Vapor Recovery • Central Fuel Oil Systems • Blodlesel Fuel require MV, HB,CT,
• Bulk Plant Terminals • Marinas Terminals • Diesel Exhaust Fluid A&M Fuels
Materials and All pipe is manufactured by filament winding process using amine-cured epoxy thermosetting resin
Construction to Impregnate strands of continuous glass filaments with a resin-rich Interior surface. The operating
pressure of the pipe is up to 250 psig(17.2 bar)with continuous operating temperature to 150°F(66°0).
Ned Thread IIA Is Listed with Underwriters Laboratories Standard 971-2004 for non-metallic underground
piping for motor vehicle(MV), high blend(HB), concentrated (CT) and aviation and marine(A&M)fuels.
The pipe and fittings are also Listed with Underwriters Laboratories of Canada with both Listings under
File MH9162.
Fittings Fittings are manufactured with the same chemical temperature capabilities as the pipe. Depending
on the particular part and size, fittings will be compression molded, contact molded, hand fabricated or
filament wound and are described in FH1250.
Joining T.A.B.- (Threaded and Bonded) is the primary joining method for pipe joints r
Systems promoting fast, positive make-up and prevents "backout' during curing. The t
matched taper bell x spigot joint is the primary joining method for fitting joints.
These joints assist the Installer and assures an fast trouble-free Installation.
Adhesive for this system is Series 8000. T.A.B. spigots can be bonded into
tapered bells and tapered spigots can be Bonded Into T.A.B. bells using d
standard bonding procedures for tapered joints.
NOMINAL DIMENSIONAL DATA
max
2 2.238 2.371 0.067 0.42 250 psig @ 150°F 375 177 133
50 57 60 1.70 0.63 1.72 MPa @ 66°C 2.59 1.22 0.92
3 3.363 3.559 0.098 0.92 175 psig 9 150°F 300 171 129
180 85 90 2.49 1.37 1.21 MPa @ 66°C 2.07 1.18 0.89
4 4.364 4.553 0.095 1.10 125 prig @ 150°F 265 69 51
100 111 116 2.41 1.64 0.86 MPa @ 66°C 1.83 0.48 0.35
6 6.408 6.686 0.139 2.47 20 psig @ 150°F 265 69 51
150 1 163 170 3.53 3.68 0.14 MPa @.66°C 1.83 0.48 0.35
www.fgspipe.com fgspipe@nov.com
KAY Fiber Glass Systems
