RUBLE WALL TANKS
- - July 15, 1996
Pioneering primary and Secondary Containment Systems
Feature #4
The Quality Checks
Benefits
• Visual checks are made of the steel tank and the Tank Jacket
constantly throughout the process.
• After construction of the steel tank, a 3-5 psi pressure check is
made and all joints which are "water/soap" tested reviewed for
leaks:
• After application of the Tank Jacket over the steel tank, the
Jacket is pressure checked, 1 psi, with all joints "water/soap
tested to check for leaks.
• Once all pressure checks are complete, a 10-12"in/hg of vacuum
is placed on the Tank Jacket. This vacuum is retained during the
storage, transportation and installation, assuring;the Tank Jacket
is leak-free.
As an option to potentially replace the installation Precision
Tank Test, an EPA compliant vacuum test can be conducted on
the Tank Jacket to assure the tank system is leak free. This is a
cost savings of hundreds of dollars when compared to traditional
on-site testing.
TOTAL
CONTAINMENT©
TSP200.2(3 of 3) -
