Install the new ECPU board in the console following the steps outlined in Figure 6. <br /> 1 <br /> Attach one end of the antistatic wrist strap <br /> to your left wrist and adhere the other end <br /> to thecomm board cage. With your right <br /> hand,hold the ribbon cables out of the way. <br /> ECPU Board Installation Holding the ECPU board in your left hand as <br /> guide slots(one at top shown,slide the board around the Comm <br /> and bottom) Board cage and straight back into top and <br /> bottom guide slots. Place your thumbs on <br /> the front edge of the board at the top and <br /> bottom and push the board firmly toward <br /> 11 the back of the console to seat the board <br /> connector in the motherboard connector. <br /> Comm Board <br /> cage <br /> 4 <br /> Antistatic wrist strap <br /> adhered to base of <br /> console <br /> Board <br /> connector /7 Connect cables: <br /> S -Top 16-pin cable from display <br /> to ECPU board J3 <br /> Middle 16-pin cable from key- <br /> board to ECPU board 44 <br /> -6-pin cable from printer to <br /> ECPU board V(see inset for <br /> printer connection precautions) <br /> Correct Printer Connector Orientation <br /> Make sure that tabs of the ribbon cable connector <br /> face the locking ridge of board connector V as you <br /> push the connector dawn over JTs pins.(Check also <br /> that the locking ridge is centered between the tabs) <br /> Ta*nter,and t <br /> Ribbon be <br /> Tabs C4 conned., <br /> Loddngndge <br /> _t <br /> ECPU board �J7 <br /> 2 dm ® 4 ~Of console <br /> Push board down onto each retention push BWl down to turn ena.P. <br /> pin until it snaps through Board(3 places). battery backup OFF. <br /> Figure 6.
