No. 38/Our Job No. 10199
Dear Michele:
On behalf of Costco Wholesale (Costco), Barghausen Consulting Engineers Inc., is responding to clarify
the questions that you have regarding the Plan Addendum submittal for the project referenced above.
The Environ coaxial tee fittings shown on Detail D/T-6 shall have removable test plugs in the
tees so that the secondary containment can drain into each of the respective dispenser sumps
pursuant to your requirements (see the enclosed revised detail).
"The cross connection between 87 octane tanks has been removed." This plan revision in the
addendum does not affect the siphon piping, which is to remain as shown. The cross
connection that was being referred to in the January 5, 2004 addendum submittal letter was
the pressurized manifold piping, which used to be shown on the plans to run between the
87 octane turbines. This former pressurized manifold piping was normally closed with ball
valves so that if there were a turbine failure, the ball valves could have been opened allowing
one turbine to serve the entire site. This "87 octane cross connection piping" has been
removed from the plans.
I hope that this will clarify the questions that you have regarding the Plan Addendum Please notify me
when the permits are ready to be issued, as well as of any outstanding permit issuance fees. If you have
any questions or comments regarding the plans during your review, please contact me at (425) 251-6222.
Thank you.
ectfully,
Stephen H.
