GRADING NOTES; <br />ALL GRADING AND SITE PREPARATION SHALL CONFORM TO THIS PLAN, THE <br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE GOVERNMENT AGENCY WHICH HAS JURISDICTION <br />OVER THIS SITE AND WILL ISSUE THE GRADING PERMIT AND THE UNIFORM <br />BUILDING CODE, LATEST EDITION. <br />SITE PREPARATION AND GRADING SHALL BE DONE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE <br />SOILS ENGINEER, WHO SHALL BE PRESENT AT ALL TIMES DURING GRADING OPERATIONS. <br />THE SOILS ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED AT LEAST TWO DAYS BEFORE STARTING ANY <br />OF THIS WORK, THE SOILS ENGINEER SHALL PROVIDED TO THE DESIGN ENGINEER A <br />FINAL SOILS REPORT OR A STATEMENT THAT THE GRADING WAS DONE IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH THE GRADING PLAN AND PRELIMINARY SOILS REPORT ALONG WITH COPIES OF THE <br />COMPACTION TESTS, <br />IF DEVIATIONS FROM THIS MAP AND WHAT EXISTS AT THE SITE OCCUR DURING <br />CONSTRUCTION THE CONTRACTOR IS TO CONTACT A&S ENGINEERING AND <br />FRANK A, SLINKARD SO CHANGES CAN BE MADE TO THE PLAN. <br />SEE A&S ENGINEERINGS SITE AND DEMO PLAN FOR INFO, AND DIMENSIONS <br />NOT SHOWN ON THIS MAP, <br />ALL EXISTING COVERED GRATES,MANHOLES, MONITOR WELLS, <br />INSPECTION AND FILLER LIDS, ETC. SHALL BE ADJUSTED TO <br />NEW PAVING AND CONCRETE GRADES. <br />AN OSHA PERMIT IS REQUIRED WHEN WORKERS MUST ENTER TRENCHES OR EXCAVATIONS. <br />THE ENGINEER HAS MADE A DILIGENT SEARCH OF RECORDS, CONTACTED UTILITY COMPANIES <br />AND OTHERWISE ENDEAVORED TO INDICATE ON THE DRAWINGS ALL UTILITIES WHICH EXIST <br />WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE WORK OF THIS PROJECT, HOWEVER THE ENGINEER MAKES NO <br />GUARANTEE THAT ALL FACILITIES HAVE BEEN SHOWN ON THE PLANS, SINCE THE LOCATIONS <br />AND DESCRIPTIONS WERE NOT ALL OBTAINED FROM ACTUAL FIELD SURVEYS AND SOME <br />UNDERGROUND FACILITIES MAY NOT SHOW UP IN THE RECORDS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL <br />CONTACT THE OWNERS OF THE UNDERGROUND FACILITIES AND ALL UTILITIY COMPANIES <br />REQUESTING THEY LOCATE AND MARK THEIR FACILITIES PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK. <br />PRIOR TO DELIVERY OF ANY MATERIALS OR BEGINNING OF ANY EXCAVATION AND PRIOR TO <br />BRINGING ANY CREWS OR EQUIPTMENT ON THE JOB, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL EXPOSE <br />AND CONFIRM THE EXACT LOCATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND REPORT <br />TO THE ENGINEER SAID LOCATIONS AND ANY POSSIBLE CONFLICT WITH THE WORK <br />TO BE PREFORMED. THE ENGINEER SHALL THEN DETERMINE IF ANY REVISIONS TO <br />THE DESIGN ARE REQUIRED AND PREPARE ANY NECESSARY REVISIONS TO THE <br />PLANS PRIOR TO THE CONTRACTOR PROCEEDING WITH ANY WORK ON OR AROUND <br />THE AFFECTED LINE OR LINES. NO EXTRA COMPENSATION WILL BE ALLOWED FOR <br />EXTRA COSTS INCURRED DUE TO CONTRACTORS FAILURE TO STRICTLY FOLLOW <br />THIS PROCEDURE. <br />THE PROPOSED PIPE INVERT ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE APPROXIMATE ELEVATIONS, <br />THE CONTRACTOR IS TO VERIFY THE EXISTING CONNECTION INVERTS BEFORE ANY <br />CONSTRUCTION BEGINS TO MAKE SURE THE PROPOSED PIPES WILL FLOW A THE <br />INTENDED DIRECTION.
