These wells surround an underground storage tank in the SEC of the subject property. MW#1, #3, and#4 had approximately five casing volumes of water extracted prior to the actual sample taken, thus ensuring the sampling of the groundwater formation. The water level in MW#2 was very low and silty. Consequently, the sample obtained may not represent the underlying formation water. After sampling each MW, the bailer was washed inside and out with a Trisodium Phosphate (TSP) solution and triple rinsed with DI water. The bailer rope was also washed after each MW sampling. MW#3 was sampled last. A battery operated purge pump was used to purge and sample this well. The casing of this well is disjointed approximately three feet below grade. It is harder to sample due to the casing becoming more disjointed. We put a metal bar down the well to pull the casing into alignment; however, this is only a temporary solution. It is our recommendation the well be eventually replaced. Two - one liter samples were drawn from each MW and placed in an ice chest. The requested testing is for TPH and EPA 625. The eight glass sample bottles were delivered to JL Labs under COC, after overnight refrigeration, on Thursday afternoon, January 18, 1996, at 2:20 p.m. We appreciate the opportunity to provide this service for you.
