These wells surround an
underground storage tank in the SEC of the subject property. As was the case with the last
sampling event, MW #2 did not have any water in the well. Each of the three remaining wells had
approximately five casing volumes of water extracted prior to the actual sample taken.
Specific notes for each well are as follows: MW#1 had rainwater in the Christy Box up to the
top of the 2 inch casing. It is unknown if rainwater had entered the well, although if there was
intrusion, not in significant amounts. MW#3 has the top two feet of casing out of alignment with
the remaining casing. This makes sampling very difficult since the bailer must be forced through
this disjointed casing. There was soil on the top lip of the casing, but it is unknown if any soil has
entered the well. The sampling of this well is not under the best of conditions. MW 44 was easily
accessible, unlike the prior sampling event.
After each sample event, the bailer was washed inside and out with a Trisodium Phosphate (TSP)
solution and triple rinsed with DI water. The bailer rope was also changed for each MW. A one
liter sample was drawn from each well and placed in an ice chest at approximately 4' C. The
requested testing is for TPH and EPA 625. The three, one liter glass sample bottles were
delivered to JL Labs under COC on Monday morning, December 19, 1994, after refrigeration
over the weekend.
We appreciate the opportunity to provide this service for you.
