Stephens <br /> Re: Project: Gold Bond (Newark Sierra) <br /> AEMC Lab Reference No. : L5067 Project No. : <br /> Date Samples Received: 07/20/90 Job No. : 81051 <br /> No. Samples Received: 6 Soil samples <br /> These samples were received by AEMC in a chilled state, intact, and <br /> accompanied by chain-of-custody documentation. <br /> The above referenced samples were analyzed as follows: <br /> No. of <br /> Samples Analysis <br /> 6 Total Recoverable Hydrocarbons by IR <br /> 6 TPH Diesel <br /> 6 BTXE only by Modified 8020 <br /> Elevated TPH (diesel) reporting limits for samples "NSC-1C" and "NSB-2C" are <br /> due to the presence of significant concentrations of high molecular weight <br /> hydrocarbons in these samples. For the same reason, Method 8020 Surrogate <br /> standard recovery data could not .be generated for sample "NSC-IA" . <br /> Although samples "NSC-LA" and "NSB-2B" were found to contain hydrocarbons in <br /> the molecular weight rangegenerally associated with diesel fuel, the <br /> chomatograms for these samples were not consistent with the expected diesel <br /> chromatographic pattern, or "fingerprint" . However, the reported <br /> concentrations are based on diesel calibration. <br /> Analytical results are attached to this letter.
