Labels will specify the sampler's name, <br /> the well number , and the date and time the sample was <br /> taken. <br /> 9. Samples will be delivered to a State certified anal— <br /> ytical laboratory within 24 hours. Samples will be <br /> stored on ice until delivery. Samples will be analyzed <br /> for total hydrocarbons by EPA Method 615 Modified <br /> (GC/FID) . <br /> 10. If sample results are negative, the water removed during <br /> purging will be disposed of. If results are positive , <br /> purged water will be retained and the Reporting <br /> Procedures described below implemented. <br /> Reporting Procedures <br /> If product is detected or analytical results indicate con— <br /> tamination, an "unauthorized release" has occurred. Section 2652 <br /> of Title 23 requires the following: <br /> a) Within 24 hours after the release has been detected, or <br /> should have been detected, using required monitoring, <br /> the operator will notify the local agency and the State <br /> Office of Emergency Services or Regional Board. <br /> 8 <br />
