S b N J 0 A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY— <br /> Small <br /> CUNTYSmall Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> MAIN STREET GARAGE 1 1906 MAIN ST, ESCALON November 07, 2018 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> -One white plastic 55 gallon drum of used antifreeze was observed behind the building with a label that was too <br /> faded to be read. <br /> -One black metal 55 gallon drum of used oil was observed behind the building without the words"Hazardous <br /> Waste", accumulation start date, hazardous properties, physical state and generator name and address on the <br /> label. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> One black metal drum of drained used oil filters was observed behind the shop with a lid that was not secured. <br /> Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used <br /> oil filters,"and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately close the drum and ensure that all used oil <br /> filters are managed in this way. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. The EHD has written the <br /> complete report which replaces the initial checklist. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, within 30 days of receiving the complete inspection report. <br /> Inspector Provided: Return to Compliance certification, modified contingency plan template, labeling guidance, <br /> flier for free CUPA classes, two hazardous waste labels <br /> Waste Streams Observed: <br /> -Used Oil <br /> -Used Antifreeze <br /> -Oily Solids <br /> -Brake Shavings <br /> -Drained Used Oil Filters <br /> FA0005138 PR0543892 SCO01 11/07/2018 <br /> EHD 22-01 Rev.09/27/2018 Page 5 of 6 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br /> 1868 E.
