The training should
include hazardous waste labeling and storage, disposal or recycling, identification of hazardous waste.
The training outline you provided addresses emergency spill response, and hazardous materials identification /
labeling only. Routine hazardous waste handling is not addressed.
I attached a state guidance document. The below quote is taken from page 5.
"...must include instruction that teaches personnel
hazardous waste management procedures (including
contingency plan implementation) relevant to the
positions in which they are employed."
Call me if you have any questions / comments,
Garrett Backus
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 E Main Street, Stockton CA 95202-3029
telephone: (209) 468-2986
fax: (209) 468-3433
email: gbackus@#&ghd,com
ilttp;//www,voy,ors/ohd/PtouramH/Otht)ro/uniklod,htm
From: DAVID CORONA [mailto:dc.music@live.com]
Sent: Friday, February 24, 2012 3:51 PM
To: Garrett Backus [EH]
Subject:
Garrett,
Here is the information you requested.
