The sample was obtained at the request of.San Joaquin County. A <br /> work plan was forwarded July 30`x`2002 to the County describing the sampling <br /> procedures and laboratory analysis parameters. <br /> Sample Collection <br /> Soil sampling was done on August 1,2002 under the observation of Mr. Harlin <br /> M - Knowll from the San Joaquin County-Environmen tatHealth Division. <br /> Thesoil sample was obtained from underneath each of the eastern most former <br /> pump location using a backhoe (see the attached figure). The sample was <br /> obtained from a depth'af 6 feet BGS. A clean brass tube was hammered into the <br /> backhoe bucket until. full. Teflon tape and plastic caps were placed over the tube <br /> ends,.The tubes were then labeled and placed on ice for transport to the testing <br /> laboratory for certified,chemical analysis. No petroleum hydrocarbon odors <br /> were noted during sampling. A chain of custody form accompanied the sample <br /> to the lab. <br /> No groundwater was encountered to a depth of 6 feet BGS during sampling. The <br /> sampled soil was clayey sand. <br />
