A 4-inch diameter hand auger was used to drill
to approximately two feet into the native soil. Once that depth was reached, a sampling
shoe with a clean brass tube insert was hammered into the native soil to obtain the.
samples. Total sampling depth was about four feet BGS. Aluminum foil and plastic caps
were placed over the tube ends. The tubes were then labeled and placed on ice for
transport to the testing laboratory for certified chemical analysis. No petroleum
hydrocarbon odors were noted during sampling. No composite sample was taken of
the soil because all removed materials were pea gravel. A chain of custody form
accompanied the samples to the lab.
No groundwater was encountered to a depth of 4 feet BGS during sampling. The .
sampled soils were clayey_sands. _.
190 East 7th Streer• Pittsburg, CA 94565-2317;•FAX(925)439-2566 o Phone (925)439-1024 0
