WA
ASSOCIATED
ENGINEERING
GROUP
TRANSMITTAL LETTER
TO: Steven Shih FROM:
San Joaquin County EHD DATE:
1868 E. Hazelton Avenue JOB NUMBER:
Stockton, CA 95205
(209)468-9850
SUBJECT: Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Design and Plans —Cho Residence
Ryan Carrell
10/24/2018
1275-18
❑ ORIGINALS ❑ MAIL DELIVERY ❑ FOR APPROVAL
❑ COPIES ❑ OVERNIGHT DELIVERY ❑x FOR REVIEW & COMMENT
Mx PLANS ❑x HAND DELIVERY ❑ FOR YOUR USE
❑ OTHER ❑ FAX ❑ AS REQUESTED
QUANTITY: DATE: DESCRIPTION:
2 10/24/18 Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Design and Plans
1 10/24/18 SERVICE REQUEST Application and Fee Payment (Check No. 3192, $304.00)
1 - Norweco Treatment System — Supporting Information
COMMENTS:
Mr. Shih
Enclosed please find the plan and supporting information for the above referenced residential wastewater treatment system
installation.
As we discussed at the counter this morning with Michael, I feel that the Section 7 provisions of the County's OWTS Design
Requirements should not strictly apply to this residential installation since we are adhering to the Section 9 sizing requirements for
residential installations. The soil type identified in the Terracon report (on file with EHD) coincides with the Table 9.7.1 "Disposal
Field Requirements" for residential installations. Section 7 appears to be more suitable for package plants with higher flow rates
where percolation rates would govern the sizing of the disposal system. Flow rates for this project, and the corresponding filter bed
sizing, are independent of the treatment measure employed upstream of the disposal field. We are respectfully requesting that
supplemental percolation testing be waived for this residential installation.
Please let me know if you have any questions as you review this submittal.
Ryan Carrel
Civil Engineer
4206 TECHNOLOGY DRIVE, SUITE 4, MODESTO, CA 95356 • PHONE: (209) 545-3390 • FAX: (209) 545-3875 • www.assoceng.com
