(AGE) has prepared this j <br /> report in conjunction with the removal of one 20,000-gallon, steel underground storage tank <br /> (UST) at the referenced address. k <br /> 1.0. BACKGROUNDALOCATION <br /> The site is located in east Stockton, California (Figure 1 - Location Map, 7.5 Stockton East <br /> Quadrangle, USGS Topographic Series, 1981), at an estimated elevation of 30 feet above sea <br /> level. The site is located in an industrial area of very low topographic relief, sloping gently k <br /> toward the west. The depth to ground water at the site is estimated to be 80 feet below surface <br /> grade (bsg). Ground water was not encountered during removal of the UST. <br /> Two main structures are one opposite.sides of the UST area on the property. Most of the site is <br /> used as a shipping and receiving warehouse, a vehicle maintenance shop for trucks is located <br /> directly adjacent to the UST area. The site is paved by concrete and asphalt. The UST excavation <br /> area is depicted in Figure 2 - Site Plan. <br /> 2.0. UST REMOVAL <br /> UST tan <br /> g <br /> On 29 September 1997 a 20,000-gallon, double-walled underground storage k <br /> g (UST) was <br /> removed by United Pacific Environmental (UPE) (Figure 2 - Site Plan). The dispensers and <br /> product line(s) were also removed during excavation of the UST. The tank and the associated <br />
