A Hazardous Materials Business <br />Plan shall be established and implemented for emergency response to a release or threatened release of a <br />hazardous material when storing hazardous materials at or above the thresholds quantities of 55 gallons for <br />materials that are liquids, 500 pounds for solids, or 200 cubic feet for compressed gas, at standard temperature and <br />pressure. Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, <br />enter the required information, and submit for review by the EHD. <br />A Hazardous Materials Business Plan has not been established or implemented. A Hazardous Materials Business <br />Plan shall be established and implemented for emergency response to a release or threatened release of a <br />hazardous material when storing hazardous materials at or above the thresholds quantities of 55 gallons for <br />materials that are liquids, 500 pounds for solids, or 200 cubic feet for compressed gas, at standard temperature and <br />pressure. Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, <br />enter the required information, and submit for review by the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 6 HSC 25505(a)(2) Failed to complete and/or submit a site map with all required content. <br />A site map was not completed or submitted as part of the business plan. A site map shall contain a north <br />orientation, loading areas, internal roads, adjacent streets, storm and sewer drains, access and exit points, <br />emergency shutoffs, evacuation staging areas, hazardous material handling and storage areas, and emergency <br />response equipment. If a site map element is not applicable for your facility then list it on the map and label as <br />“NA". Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, <br />upload the correct or updated information, and submit to the EHD for approval. <br />This is a minor violation. <br /> 7 HSC 25505(a)(3) Failed to establish and/or submit emergency response procedures for a release or threatened <br />release. <br />The emergency response procedures were lacking or inadequate. A business plan shall include the following <br />emergency response procedures for a release or threatened release of hazardous materials, including, but not <br />limited to, the following: <br /> - immediate notification of local emergency personnel and the Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> - procedures for the mitigation of a release or threatened release to minimize any potential harm or damage to <br />persons, property, or the environment <br /> - evacuation plans and procedures, including immediate notice, for the site <br />Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, upload the <br />correct or updated information, and submit to the EHD for approval. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />FA0019398 PR0529919 SC001 02/28/2018 <br />EHD 19-01 Rev. 09/22/16 Hazardous Materials Program OIR
