The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br />addressed for Country Club Valero as of January09, 2018. <br />Open violations from October 24, 2017 inspection <br />Violation #102 - Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br />At time of inspection, Mr. Taranjit Romana stated sometimes absorbent used for gasoline spill is thrown in the trash. <br />Generator of hazardous waste must make a hazardous waste determination per CCR 66262.11. Immediately cease <br />disposal of absorbent into the trash and make a hazardous waste determination. Provide a written statement to the <br />EHD how the waste will be handled in the future. <br />Violation #106 - Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br />At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented) that employees who handle <br />hazardous waste were properly trained. Mr. Taranjit Romana was not able to explain how to properly clean up a <br />hazardous waste spill. The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly <br />familiar with proper waste handling and emergency procedures. Provide proof of training to the EHD for employees <br />whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br />Violation #110 - Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br />At time of inspection, no hazardous waste disposal records could be located. According to Mr. Taranjit Romana, two <br />55 -gallon drums that had hazardous waste labels were removed by Shell a couple months ago. Generators of <br />hazardous waste must maintain hazardous waste manifest for a minimum of 3 years. Provide to the EHD copies of <br />hazardous waste manifest for the past 3 years. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
