Ongoing monitoring and
characterization activities included a well survey and assessment of soil data to date.
The next semi-annual and Annual reports need to include a thorough discussion of the groundwater
sampling results and trends. In accordance with the Report, the next semi-annual report, which is due by
1 May 2004, will include a discussion of the first semi-annual monitoring event and a conceptual plan
for the remediation of groundwater.
By 30 January 2004,please provide comments on the attached draft MRP, which incorporates some of
the changes requested in the Report. The requirement for isoconcentration contour maps is still needed,
especially for the first water bearing zone or Zone A. Figure 7 of the Report, which lists concentrations
in boxes for Zone A, is cluttered and does not provide a visual context for the extent of the pollution for
the various constituents of concern at the site.
