On 5 May 2003,Mr. Eric Chase of Sierra Pacific
Group emailed Ms. Devra Lewis of my staff stating the semi-annual monitoring report would be a
couple of weeks late, to which Ms. Lewis responded that she could not give an extension of
deadlines in the MRP.
The MRP is a Regional Board Order that requires the submittal of a semi-annual groundwater
monitoring report by 1 May, and we still have not received it. Therefore, Western Farm Service is
in violation of the MRP. Violations can result in an administrative civil liability(ACL) of up to
$1,000 per day. If we receive the semi-annual groundwater monitoring report by 13 June 2003,
we will not recommend an ACL. If you have any questions, you may contact Ms. Lewis at
(916) 255-3119.
j Lr Vvv
WENDY L.
