I agreed to the extension, and we agreed on a <br /> deadline of 8 May 1998 to determine whether a downgradient well was needed. <br /> During our 12 May 1998 telephone conversation, Mr. Chase stated that contaminant levels in <br /> well MW-9 showed that an additional downgradient well is needed.
