Diablo Blvd, Suite 260 <br /> San Ramon, CA 94583 Lafayette, CA 94549 <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 96-816 <br /> Enclosed is Monitoring and Reporting Program No. 96-816 for the post-closure maintenance <br /> of the two caps installed on the north and south ponds at 1905 N. Broadway. The MRP <br /> requires that (a) the monitoring wells be sampled on a quarterly or semiannual basis, (b) the <br /> cover system shall be inspected and maintained, and (c) the permanent monuments be <br /> resurveyed once every ten years. It also requires that certain reports be submitted to the <br /> Board. <br /> Because Agrium, Inc. is the landowner and current operator, they have been named in the <br /> Order in addition to Unocal. However, Agrium will only be required to perform the <br /> monitoring and reporting in the event that Unocal fails to comply. <br /> I look forward to receiving the fust quarterly report by 30 January 1997.
