Ms. Wendy Wyels
October 30, 1996
Page 2
0 The corners of the paved evaporation ponds have been included in our surveyed grid-array of the
nine existing monitoring wells at, or near, the Broadway site. Paragraph four of the proposed
program discusses installation, surveying, and periodic resurveying of permanent survey monuments
at each of the ponds. Is this being required to determine possible changes in ground elevations, or
is it being required to insure that monuments are not moved? It is unclear to me why the monuments
and additional survey work is being required.
The program looks pretty good to me. Please call if you have any questions, changes to the program, or
further directives.
Sincerely,
SIERRA-PACIFIC GROUNDWATER CONSULTANTS, INC.
JoS phen Rap EG-1133
Sem Engineering Geologist
JSR/jb
Enclosure
C.
