41
SierraTPac raciater Consultants, Inc.
r l
HNDROGEOLOGISTS&GEOLOGISTS
y _ 2a P4 1: 08
August 25, 1995 /! U
Mr. Ricardo Bautista
1711 North Chronicle Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Subject. East Stockton Ground-Water Investigation, Proposed Installation of a Shallow Monitoring
Well at 1711 North Chronicle Avenue, Stockton, California, Unocal Order/Contract:
34402, Sierra-Pacific Project No. 94-055.03
Dear Mr. Bautista:
Per your request of last Wednesday, we are enclosing a copy of Sierra-Pacific Groundwater
Consultants, Inc.'s (Sierra-Pacific) typical monitoring well installation report. The enclosed report
provides quite a bit of background information. A report just like this one would be written if a
monitoring well were to be installed at your house. I attached a copy of a ground water map so
that you might have a better understanding of the kind of data we are gathering.
You may have noticed that I have been sending copies of my public correspondence to the
Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB). Wendy Wyels (RWQCB) is very interested in
having these monitoring wells installed as soon as possible. You may wish to call her at (916) 255-
3104. I am sure that she would be glad to explain the project to you. Michael Infurna (San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department) can be reached at (209) 468-3454. He will
issue the well installation permit, and would also be happy to talk to you also.
Please review the Unocal right-of-entry (ROE) license agreement sent to you last week. If it seems
acceptable, please sign the ROE agreement and return it to Sierra-Pacific for transmittal to Unocal
for signatures. A counter-signed copy of the license agreement would be returned to you for your
files. Upon receiving a counter-signed copy of the ROE, I would send you a check for $1,000 and
take steps to install the new well. The well can be installed in one day. Someone from Sierra-
Pacific would return every three months to collect a water sample from the new well. Other than
that, you would not be bothered again.
(916)933-1468
4911 Windplay Drive,Suite 4 EI Dorado Hills.California 95762 19161933-3197 FAX
