Holm, Agricultural Regulatory Unit
Central Valley - Regional Water Quality Control Board
3443 Routier Road, Suite A
Sacramento, California 95827-3098
Subject. Fourth Quarter 1994, Quarterly Monitoring Report (02 November 1994 Event), Former
PureGro Facility at 2130 West Washington Street, Port of Stockton, California Sierra-
Pacific Project No. 92-33-4
Dear Ms. Holm:
The latest Washington Street quarterly monitoring report is enclosed for your consideration.
Analytical results and water level data indicate that very little has changed at the site since we
issued the last monitoring report. The water table has dropped slightly, but we still have 210 ppm
nitrate (NO3) in our up-gradient well, and water samples from the new down-gradient well (MW-7)
contain only traces of nitrogen (N).
Sierra-Pacific measured monitoring well water levels, per your request, on November 1, 1994 to
coincide with a Kennedy-Jenks sampling event. We subsequently received ground-water elevation
data from Kennedy-Jenks, then prepared a preliminary regional potentiometric map encompassing
both sites. Pending verification of well elevations, we would be happy to provide everyone with
copies of the regional map.
Unocal will undoubtedly be required to sample its five monitoring wells for an extended period of
time. May we discontinue performing General Minerals analyses on all these water samples?
Unocal has quite a bit of information on the character of shallow ground water at the Port of
Stockton, and chemical parameters do not seem to change very much.
(916)9:%?-116$
4911 Windplay Drive.Suite 4 EI Dorado Hills.California 95762 '91619);-:197 FAX
