INVESTIGATION ACTIVITIES <br /> ' The following sections provide details on the proposed investigation at the former pond <br /> areas. <br /> ' 3.1 Preparations <br /> 3.1.1 Health and Safety Plan Update <br /> ' All field operations will be performed using the procedures and equipment outlined in a <br /> site-specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP). The field operations will be conducted in <br /> accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local policies and regulations including <br /> training and medical monitoring required under Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), <br /> Title 29, Part number 1910, Standard Number (29 CFR 1910.120) and California Code <br /> of Regulations (CCR), Title 8, Section 5192 (8 CCR 5192). Prior to the start of field <br /> activities, the site-specific HASP shall be reviewed and signed by all field personnel, as <br /> well as subcontractors. <br /> 3.1.2 Former North and South Pond Area Cap Survey <br /> The boundaries of the former North and South Pond caps will be marked by a <br /> California-licensed surveyor using the as-built cap survey performed by Kjelden, <br /> Sinnock, and Neudeck, Inc. (KSN) of Stockton, California, in January 1997 as a <br /> reference (Siena-Pacific, 1997). <br /> ' 3.1.3 Site Inspection and Utility Clearance <br /> Underground Service Alert (USA) will be notified 48 hours in advance of invasive <br /> subsurface work, and a private utility locator will perform a geophysical survey in the <br /> vicinity of each boring location to identify potential utilities, pipelines, or other <br /> ' subsurface obstructions. <br /> 3.1.4 Permitting <br /> Drilling permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Department of <br /> Environmental Health (SJCDEH). <br /> Work Plan Stockton Pond InV_01-07-08 7 01.07.08 <br />
