Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion. c <br /> release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment <br /> ,All the pooling liquid was removed at the time of inspection. <br /> 3) Standing oil was noted inside the secondary containment used for storage of the55-galon containers of used <br /> oil and used antifreeze. Ali facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to <br /> assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Liquid was removed from inside of the secondary containment <br /> at the time of inspection. Ensure that all spill control equipment is maintained as required. <br /> 4) One open 55-gallon container of commingled filters labeled"used oil and gasoline filters" was observed inside <br /> the facility at the time of inspection. Used filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof <br /> container, labeled as"drained used oil and gasoline filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. This <br /> container was closed and labeled as appropriate at the time of inspection. Ensure that all filter containers ar�- <br /> managed as appropriate <br /> 5) Open 55-gallon containers of used oil and used antifreeze were noted inside the facility at the time of <br /> inspection. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br /> All above containers were closed as appropriate at the time of inspection. Ensure that all containers are manage< <br /> as appropriate. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials informatio <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System(CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
