Yosemite Ave. <br /> Manteca, CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Servi*ces, Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the "Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring & Remediation Status <br /> Report" dated August 21, 1995, prepared by Apex Eni'virotech, Inc. , for the above <br /> referenced site. <br /> A "Chain of Custody" was not provided for the water samples collected on July 11, <br /> 1995. In addition, air samples were collected fro" <br /> m the vapor extraction unit on <br /> July 5, 1995 and the results of those analyses were not included in or discussed <br /> in the report. <br /> The report did not detail information on pulsing of the vapor extraction system, <br /> such as the organic vapor readings obtained when -;,the system is first restarted <br /> and how long the system is operated before beirig :4turned off again. <br /> Calculations on the current and total mass of hydrocarbons removed by the vapor <br /> extraction system are also not shown or discussed!. <br /> Please submit an addendum to this quarterly report I that contains all of the above <br /> information by September 25, 1995. In the future, all of this information should <br /> be included in quarterly reports. <br /> The report states that if water sample results remain below laboratory detection <br /> limits for TPH-gasoline and BTEX for 3 more quarter's that Apex will request site <br /> closure.
