To: John Yoakum [EH]
Subject: Boring Permit Questions
Importance: High
Hi Johnny,
We are planning a Phase 2 assessment, following a Phase 1 at a property in Tracy, CA. During this Phase 2 assessment
we will be drilling 4 Geoprobe borings to collect grab-groundwater samples, the borings are not expected to extend
below 25 ft bgs. I wanted to confirm if we will need a boring permit or drilling permit for this work?
I also wanted to confirm the costs for the permit. The website Fee Schedule lists the cost of the permit as$130, plus
inspections fees of 3 hours at$130/hr for a total costs of$520. Is this amount due at the time the permit is submitted
or after inspections have taken place?
Please let me know as soon as you get a chance!
Thanks,
Tarah J.
