Mariposa Road & Farmington Road
Stockton, California
PSI Proposal PO-865-8G0001
Dear Mr. Kisling,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to propose our services to you. Professional
Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) is submitting this proposal to conduct a subsurface
investigation at the above referenced site. Presented below is a review of furnished
project information, along with our proposed scope of services, schedule and fee
information.
PROJECT UNDERSTANDING
PSI understands that the property consists of four parcels (173-040-33 through 173-
040-36) of approximately 1.8 acres at the northeast Corner of E. Mariposa Road &
Farmington Road, Stockton, California. PSI understands that the properties consist of
an existing fast food establishment, an upholstery business, and a lube shop/garage.
During the course of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) for the site
completed by PSI and dated August 13, 2007, the following recognized environmental
conditions associated with the subject site were noted;
• Two hydraulic hoists are present on the Subject Property at the lube
shop/garage. Previous investigations at the Subject Property has not adequately
assessed as no borings or wells are located adjacent or down gradient of the
hoist locations.
• Additionally, the previous assessment of the Subject Property did not
adequately assess the area immediately hydraulically downgradient of a former
underground storage tank (UST) location.
PSI recommended that a Phase II Site Investigation be conducted at the site to help
determine whether the presence of the hydraulic hoists has impacted the subsurface at
the Subject Property. Additionally, PSI recommends that additional sampling be
conducted immediately downgradient of the former USTs to help determine whether
groundwater was impacted in this area.
Professional Service Industries, Inc.•4703 Tidewater Avenue,Suite B•Oakland,CA 94601 •Phone 510/434-9200•Fax 510/434-7676
