According to Joseph Smith, if the propellent runs out before the can is <br />drained, the nozzel is removed and the can is placed into a drum. The drum is then taken out as universal waste <br />with Ramos Oil. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br />Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for the aerosol waste, and manage it according the Title 22 <br />hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was <br />managed. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class Il. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />One white 5 gallon plastic bucket containing metal shavings was observed with no accumulation start date. <br />According to the manager, Joseph Smith, the waste was over 90 days old. <br />Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br />Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br />hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest.
